    zu dem Kalender

The rhythmical course of a day in 1920s Berlin. Shifting between a fast-paced tempo and a calmer one, Ruttmann has images of the city, urban life and people fan out before us: urban canyons, trains, streets, crowds of workers and employees, machines, neon signs, evening amusements - images edited together based on movement and contrast that merge into a stream of impressions and a pulsating flow of images. With a live soundtrack by the Queller Trio (Till Steinebach, Joachim Schütz und Eric Falconnier).
